Tomorrow morning looks like showdown as the Israeli Defense Forces will stop a flotilla of European aid boats that set out from Turkey a few days ago in route to Gaza with tons of humanitarian goods.
Let's pray there won't be a confrontation at sea, as naval ships, commandos, bomb sniffing dogs and detention cells in Ashdod await those on the boats should they try and breach Israel's territorial waters. If they do, Israel has made clear it is prepared to take control of the eight ships as Israel's Political leadership has met and decided against allowing ships to reach the Gaza shores.
There is a glimmer of hope as both sides seek to stand firm but provide a way out. The IDF has stated that they will definitely stop the flotilla, but that they would be willing to deliver the aid and equipment to Gaza after it is thoroughly inspected in the Israeli port of Ashdod.
I'll have the latest on the story tomorrow on the Harvest Show – so we'll see you there!
