Soon some fortunate people will be boarding flights to join us here in the Holy Land… a trip of a lifetime.
I've been trying to keep you up to date on exciting Biblical discoveries made here.
Just this week important insights have been published about life and worship during the Davidic Kingdom.
But the exciting thing I wish to share today is that these folks visit coincides with the Jerusalem Festival of Lights.
This is the third year running and the budget has been dramatically increased, so there is much anticipation in the air – there is an unconfirmed rumor that there are over a million light bulbs!
Already there are large structures that the invited artists are assembling and this next week things will really be taking shape.
But I couldn't help but think about the passage that we (I) am to reflect the Light of the world.
It's fair to say that may bulb doesn't shine as bright as it could – and sometimes it breaks…
But it is also important for me to recall that I am simply a reflector of the Source of Light – Jesus.
He came down to this part of His world and showed God's Heart and the way back to Him.
So to our friends getting ready to pop over – your going to see incredible things here in Jerusalem.
But lets remember to pray that our light would so shine, that man around us would see it – and give glory to God.
One last thing – We've talked a few times about the diminishing Christian presence in the Land of the Bible – pray for these lights that need to shine!
