Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to the joint session of the US Congress has proven a success.
The bottom line is that that it was a defendable and well-honed speech to the US lawmakers. It was based on the principles that Mr. Netanyahu was elected on.
Today, Israel scored another diplomatic victory with Canada striking down the mention of '67 borders in the G8 statement from France.
This follows the earlier joint press conference, where President Obama and the UK Prime Minister Cameron warned the Palestinians against a unilateral declaration at the UN come November.
The argument has been raised in Israel that such an action could be viewed as illegal according to the Oslo accords.
Both press conferences show that Netanyahu's remarks did not make it more difficult for the American President to rally European leaders against a unilateral Palestinian move.
Everyone enjoy your long weekend – thankfully recalling those who have served our great country with their lives.
