Hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend and were able to 'disappear' somewhere to enjoy yourselves a bit…
And the word in the Israeli press today is 'disappear' – its all the talk – just where did Israel's Prime Minister, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, go yesterday for 14 hours?
The rumors are that he flew abroad for a face-to-face meeting – presumably with an Arab leader, or to southern Europe or Turkey to rendezvous with someone. Some are saying he did not leave the country, but rather visited the Mossad, Israel's intelligence Agency.
After the scrutiny of the press demanding to know where Israel's leader was and who's running the country, his office released an official statement. It said; “Visit to security installation.” But the Israeli press wasn't impressed… they wanted to then know why it was the Prime Minister's Military Secretary, and not his Media Adviser, who issued the statement.
If Netanyahu dedicated an entire day in secret meetings at some security installation – is there eminent action on the horizon – particularly concerning Iran's nuclear program?
The rumors abound… Maybe he went to Egypt due to the Israeli Kidnapped solider Gilyad Schalit's negotiations, or maybe he went to Jordan for direct talks with those who have access to Hamas, or there again, a Gulf State for talks about Iran, or even the European Community for his planned expansion of West Bank Settlements…
The fact is this: Netanyahu 'disappeared' from his office yesterday for at least 10 hours… and nobody knows where he went. Somethings brewing…
But I am here! And I hope you enjoyed being brought up to date on what's happening over here in the Holy Land.
